Abstract:

Between 2020 and 2025, AI deployment has surged globally, driven by demands for efficiency and automation. However, empirical research on AI’s impact on employee productivity, operational efficiency, and strategic HR in Nigerian management consulting remains scarce. This study evaluates AI’s effects in selected Nigerian firms using 400 structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed via descriptive statistics, Pearson and Spearman correlations, ANOVA, Chi-square, and Ordinary Least Squares regression. Results indicate that AI usage frequency and proficiency strongly predict productivity. Furthermore, AI adoption positively impacts performance, with Technology Consulting and Operations seeing the highest efficiency gains, and AI recruitment tools improving talent management. The study concludes that AI enhances productivity, efficiency, and HR practices in emerging markets like Nigeria. We recommend sustained investment in staff training and digital upskilling so employees can effectively collaborate with AI technologies.
