Abstract

This study examines customer satisfaction with community pharmacies in Yangon, Myanmar, highlighting their role as accessible healthcare providers amid public system constraints. Using a structured questionnaire, findings revealed moderate overall satisfaction and strong loyalty, driven by staff attitude, communication, and service quality, while delays and lack of loyalty programs were key drawbacks. Demographics showed minimal impact on satisfaction except for occupation, with retired individuals reporting higher satisfaction. The results suggest targeted improvements in pharmacist-patient interaction, consultation services, chronic care support, and promotional programs could enhance pharmacy effectiveness in Myanmar’s healthcare system.
