Abstract
This proposal outlines Elysian’s plan to expand its existing animal-assisted therapy and educational services for children and young people with special educational needs by integrating regenerative farming practices. Established in 2015, Elysian currently operates farm-based therapy centres and independent schools, but farming itself has not been central to its provision. The proposed tenancy of St. Joan’s Farm, a 145-acre Local Authority site, would allow Elysian to combine sustainable agriculture with animal-assisted interventions and outdoor learning. This holistic model aims to enhance ecological resilience while supporting socio-emotional development, inclusion, and educational engagement for vulnerable populations. By aligning with Local Authority objectives, the initiative ensures sustainable use of public assets, offers financial viability, and positions Elysian as a pioneering leader in the emerging field that unites regenerative agriculture with therapeutic and educational innovation.
