Abstract

The increased need for deposit security and the demand for profitable performance of banks across the globe is widely recognized as one of the most critical and leading topics in policy and theoretical discussions today. Numerous countries around the world have undergone intensive and comprehensive financial sector reforms aimed at preventing crises and failures within their banking systems. Banks, in particular, play a pivotal and indispensable role in ensuring the overall health and sustainable growth of the broader macro economy. This empirical research contributes to the ongoing discussions by focusing on the channel of strategic financial management, carefully examining its influence on corporate performance. This analysis spans both the profit dimension and the financial soundness of banks, a focus that has been further reinforced by the recent development and implementation of macroprudential guidelines designed to enhance stability and resilience.
