A Holistic HR Approach to Integrating Psychological Support for Employees at Hair Lounge
Abstract
This report explores the integration of psychological support into Hair Lounge’s Human Resources strategy to address the emotional demands of salon work and enhance both employee well-being and client interactions. It examines the role of emotional labour, the risks of emotional exhaustion, and proposes initiatives such as a Traffic Light System for managing client disclosures, alongside strategic measures for embedding mental health support and promoting a culture of self-care. Emphasising confidentiality, professional development, and change management, the report outlines a framework for fostering a supportive workplace environment and sustainable client relationships.
