Abstract
This study examined integrating strategic thinking and planning for success in NASCO, Grand Cereals Ltd, and Poboy Ice Cream, all in Plateau State, Nigeria. It aimed to determine if organizations using strategic planning perform better when applying strategic thinking. The sample included 385 staff from the three companies. T-test analysis tested hypotheses at 0.05 significance: (1) No significant difference in goal achievement using strategic planning with strategic thinking. (2) No significant difference in goal achievement between senior and junior staff using strategic thinking. (3) No significant difference in goal achievement between male and female staff using strategic thinking. Findings showed a significant impact of strategic thinking on planning in achieving goals. There was also a significant difference between senior and junior staff in applying strategic thinking. However, no significant difference existed between male and female staff. Results were discussed regarding their implications for organizational goal achievement.
