Abstract

Maintenance issues like equipment failures and poor resource use reduce efficiency and customer satisfaction at ADNOC Distribution. These issues worsen due to the variety of equipment and service stations, showing the need for a new approach. This report proposes a framework to rethink how the company manages its infrastructure.
The proposal offers a predictive maintenance system using IoT, AI, and Big Data analytics. This moves the company from reactive and preventive maintenance to a data-driven model that predicts failures before they happen. It also addresses wider energy sector challenges like sustainability, energy security, and regulatory compliance.
Insights from the COVID-19 pandemic shape the framework, focusing on remote monitoring, supply chain resilience, and faster digital transformation. As a key OT initiative, it connects IT and physical assets into a unified digital system supporting core operations.
The plan starts with pilot stations and will expand to sites in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. By replacing traditional maintenance with advanced technology, the framework drives change and strengthens ADNOC Distribution’s leadership in regional digital innovation.
