Abstract
Hockey Club Davos (HCD), one of Switzerland’s most historic and successful ice hockey organizations, stands at a critical juncture amid evolving global trends in elite sports, digital innovation, and educational integration. This paper explores HCD’s potential to transform from a traditional competitive team into a pioneering leader in athlete development, technological innovation, and sustainable governance within professional sports. In light of challenges intensified by the COVID-19 pandemic and shifting stakeholder expectations, the study advocates for a comprehensive, disruptive restructuring of HCD’s organizational and operational framework to secure long-term growth and relevance in the rapidly changing sports landscape.
