Abstract:
This study examines trust as a dual cognitive-affective construct in CAM integration. It identifies key drivers of patient engagement, such as conventional healthcare dissatisfaction and desires for holistic care. Trust grows through good communication, transparency, and professional conduct, while inconsistent standards and poor regulation weaken it. Ultimately, trust forms the foundation of the practitioner-patient relationship, combining cognitive confidence in expertise with affective empathy and care.
