Abstract:
Sello is an independent SaaS marketplace for financial products that allows consumers to discover banking products while helping banks scale their ethical acquisitions. A product of Cubic Information System’s pedigree of disrupting the digital banking space, Sello functions as a broker, cleverly pairing consumers, particularly those the traditional financial system neglects or excludes, to bespoke financial offerings from various institutions. The mobile-first platform is designed to tackle the post-COVID changes in digital expectation and regulatory expectations, whilst also making a case for both financial inclusion and as a driver of business for banks both in the emerging and mature markets. Illustrating the impact of cross-functional, scenario-based decision making as a means of driving scalable innovation (Saied, 2025a). Sello is underpinned by Cubic’s agile governance, decentralized execution model, and AI-Enabled Insight engine. It is informed by global strategic paradigms—vintage literature: for example, the dual-transformation model aligned with D. Anthony (2017) and Furstent et al. (2021) during coronavirus times to arrive at a better mix of adaptation and anticipation.
