Abstract:
This capstone proposes a two-phase reinvention that aims to address endemic financial exclusion and low financial literacy and resilience in the post-pandemic era. The approach combines both entrepreneurial practice and the strategy and decision-making models studied in Module 1 and Module 2.
In Phase 1, the proposal introduces an AI-enabled voice assistant for households that aims to assist financial literacy, healthier money behaviours, and achieve collaborative learning via simulation. This learning resource generates a role of mentor/coach to create intergenerational learning opportunities while being strictly non-regulated and privacy-respecting.
In Phase 2, the vision evolved into a regulated community-governed financial platform. The platform, focused on democratic governance and transparency, aims to provide peer-to-peer lending with ethical access to credit and build household resilience. Compliance safeguards, voting thresholds, and reporting transparency are intrinsic to the second phase, adding credibility and trust to certainty.
